Bacterial resistance to antimicrobials in humans, animals and food is recognised as one of the âbiggest threatsâ to public health. Israeli start-up Mileutis has developed a solution that, it says, can cut the need to use antibiotics in the livestock sector to almost zero. And it has just secured a US$20m investment to make its vision of antibiotic-free animal production a reality.
